Getting Here
Since there are a few different ways to get to us, and we now have two major airports you can use, we have done the homework for you so that all you have to do is make the decision of taking the way that is best for you.
From Liberia Airport (LIR) (Airlines: American-Continental-Delta-US
Air-Air Canada)
Since this is the smaller airport and less airlines fly into it, the cost of your flight will probably be more expensive, but since we provide free transportation from the airport, you will save at least $230 for round trip Sansa
flight per person or $400 car rental.
From San Jose Airport (SJO) (Airlines: American-Delta-Spirit-JetBlue-United-Continental-Taca-Air
Canada)
Flying: This is the way to go if you are not interested in driving the 5 hours from San Jose. Flights can be booked by SANSA. This 12 seater airplane flys from San Jose to Tamarindo for a cost of approximately $115 per person one way (make sure you pack light - as they allow 25 lbs per person for luggage free). We will pick you up at the airport. Once you are here you can get a rental car if you are the adventurous type to explore the surrounding areas.
(flysansa.com / Toll-free number 1-877-767-2672)
Driving: The Fourth Dimension Resort is located in the northern province of Guanacaste. From San Jose take the Pan American Highway (CA1) north towards Liberia, and then follow signs to Santa Cruz and Tamarindo. When you reach Santa Cruz make sure you fill up with gas because there are not many gas stations. Car rental is approximately $45 per day. The trip should take about 5 hours on a two lane highway through the mountains over to us on the west coast. If you choose this way, we will give you further directions at a later time, because the roads are not paved from Santa Cruz into Tamarindo.
Bus: A
small semi-private bus is available from San Jose to Tamarindo at a
"cost" of $35 per person one way. This
is also a five hour ride, but by leaving the driving
to the professionals, you can sit back, relax, and
experience the scenic mountains and valleys of Costa
Rica. The bus stops half-way for a 15 minute break.
If you choose this option, we will make the
arrangements for you.
